Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on your device only

The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and is never sent to our servers:

• Your name (optional, entered during onboarding)
• Selected apps and categories for blocking (via Apple Screen Time API)
• Habit completions, streaks, and grassblade currency balance
• Focus session history and challenge progress
• Mood check-in entries and gratitude journal entries
• Todo items and custom activities
• App settings and preferences
• Survey answers from onboarding

2. Data processed locally on your device

• Camera images for push-up tracking — processed in real-time, never stored or transmitted
• Photo library images for habit verification — stored locally only
• Step count from Apple Health — read-only, never transmitted
• Device activity usage data — managed by Apple’s Screen Time framework, never accessible to us

3. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage tracking data
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs
• We do not collect your IP address, device identifiers, or location
• We do not share any data with third parties
• We do not have servers that receive your personal data

4. AI Photo Verification

When you verify a habit with a photo, the image is sent to a third-party AI vision service (Google Gemini) for analysis. The image is processed in real-time and is not stored by us or the AI provider beyond the duration of the request. No personal information is included with the image.

5. iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your app settings may sync across your Apple devices via Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Storage. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

6. Apple Screen Time API

Unrotify uses Apple’s Screen Time API (Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks) to monitor and manage app usage on your device. All usage data is processed entirely on your device by Apple’s frameworks. We never receive, store, or transmit any screen time usage data.

7. Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. Apple’s privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

8. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from within the app: Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all locally stored data. Since we do not store data on external servers, deletion is immediate and complete.

9. Children's Privacy

Unrotify is designed for personal use by individuals managing their own screen time. The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
